It's getting a lot harder these days to find shows I don't already have, so if you find any sources of new (or better copies of already posted) shows, please email me and let me know. To make it easier for everyone, I made a list of the missing shows:

11/23/2011 - 12/29 White Out

Hey guys, I've been asked to spread the word about an idea for one of the New Year's shows - so check it out:

WHITEOUT for Charity MSG 12/29/11

If you haven't heard already, Phish fans are trying to organize a white out at the 12/29/2011 show at Madison Square Garden. This means, quite simply, that all fans attending that show should wear a plain white T-shirt or dress or face paint, or all of these or just some, or something else like dying your hair white or… well, you get the picture. The impact on both the fans and the band will be staggering. When the band sees that 20,000 individual fans were able to get on the same page and show their unified appreciation, they will be floored and just might give the defining performance in a year filled with defining performances. There will be a charitable benefit to the WHITEOUT as well, limited edition shirts will be availbale for purchase, with all of the profits going to benefit the Mockingbird Foundation.

To ensure high participation we are recommending that everyone attending the show "attend" the Facebook Event, Invite as many friends as possible, spread the word in any way you can think of and bring at least one extra white shirt to the show on the 29th to give to an unknowing fan in need. In fact it would be great if everyone could bring a 5-pack! Many questions about the color choice have been asked; the simple reasons are that white shirts are cheap, everyone has at least 300 of them and that white itself is very noticeable, even in low-light. Phish gave us the "S" show, the "Elemental" set and the "Stolen Show" this past summer, now it's our turn to give them something to get excited about! Wear your white on 12/29/11 and let's see what kind reaction we get and help a great cause in the process—please help spread the word!

UPDATE: Download the Whiteout box set, which includes selected songs from past 12/29 shows and even PDFs for your CD cases! --click here to download--

5/24/2011 - New Shows & Feature

I added a new feature today that will display the source information for each show at the bottom of its page - I don't have source information for every show, but what I do have will now be available to you without you having to download the entire show first. Keep in mind, though, that I convert each show from its lossless format to V0 MP3s before adding it to the site.

Also, the following are either new or have been recently updated with better copies:

Junta Outtakes (under Other -> Studio Outtakes)

5/24/2011 - New Shows

1987-04-29 (better copy of existing show)

3/3/2011 - Summer Tour 2011

OK...I know it may not seem like it, but I am still alive. I haven't posted or made any changes in a while, and that's only partially due to a lack of motivation caused by everything that went down last fall. I'm also in school and have a baby, so my time is very limited right now. To everyone who has emailed me and not yet gotten a response: first off, sorry for not getting back to you. I don't mean to be rude or ignore you, I just haven't had the time to handle them lately. Second, I will have some extra time in the near future and promise to answer you all. Thanks for understanding, I knew you would :)

Anyway, enough about me - Phish has announced their Summer Tour for 2011, and the dates are:

10/15/2010 - Some Changes

Well, today the proverbial hammer dropped on phiSHows...I spoke with the guys over at Phish, who contacted me after being alerted to an Android app that was created to stream audio from this site. While I appreciate the initiative and (I assume good) intentions of the developer behind the app, the fact that it had a donate link/button caused some concern in the Phish camp. I haven't actually seen the app myself since I don't have an Android phone (and it was just released yesterday), but I assume that the donation button was a referral back here for my hosting fees, and not a donation for the app developer.

At any rate, I was instructed that accepting donations was against Phish's taping and web policies, as was streaming Phish's music over the internet. As a result, I have had to take down the streaming capability on the site, as well as direct access to the MP3s. You can still download the shows in ZIP format, but I cannot offer the MP3s on a song-by-song basis, since a playlist could be created from the links in order to stream the songs.

While I am disappointed by this turn of events, I harbor no bad feelings for either the app developer or Phish, and hope that none of you do either. There are licensing issues with streaming cover songs that Phish plays, and that's why their taping and web policies don't allow it. It's not that they are trying to be stingy or strict, they are just trying to avoid legal problems, and I can understand that. I assume too that the Android app developer was just trying to help out the community by making Phish's music more available to the fans, and it's unfortunate that his hard work will not be put to use.

I also understand that streaming was a major feature for everyone here, and that there are other places you can simply download Phish shows (such as and the Google spreadsheets). I hope that the direct download capability and ease of use still makes this site useful, but I will also try to come up with additional features that will warrant keeping the site up.

Happy downloading.

9/3/2010 - Fall Tour

This post is a little late...ok, so it's a lot late, but I've been preoccupied lately (with hacked servers, starting law school, and a baby due at the end of the month) so you'll have to bear with me. The server move is finished, so hopefully the issues with streaming and downloading have been resolved. If you've been having trouble recently, please try again now and let me know if you still have any problems.

5/10/2010 - Problems with the site

The server that is on has been experiencing heavy load recently, and as a result there have been problems with streaming and downloading (streams cut off early, downloads are incomplete)...I have requested a transfer to a new server, so hopefully this problem will be resolved soon...I'll keep you posted.

4/21/2010 - Going to the 6/25 Camden show?

12/17/2009 - New Stuff

Thanks to everyone who's been helping me hunt down the shows I'm missing! With their assistance, I've added 13 new shows to the site:

I've also been able to add better quality versions of:

1999-12-29 (under soundchecks)

I've also added some things that aren't technically Phish shows, but I thought you'd like anyway, including: an early Phish demo from '87, a Space Antelope show, Trey with the NY Philharmonic, TMWSIY (Gamehendge), studio outtakes, a soundcheck section, and some Phish mixes I've gotten over the years.

Hope you enjoy all the new goodness.

12/14/2009 - Jinzora

In an effort to reduce hosting fees so that I can afford to keep this site going, I had to take down the Jinzora interface today. As expected, it accounted for most of the resource usage for the site. I've added a "Download All" link to the MP3Toolbox interface, so hopefully it won't be too disappointing to switch over. I'm hoping that this more lightweight interface will significantly drop the amount of resources I'm using, and who knows, it may allow the site to run a little faster. Sorry to all the Jinzora lovers out there, I held out as long as I could.

11/16/2009 - New Year's

Tickets for Phish's New Year's Run in Miami go on sale this Saturday at 10am (more info). Good luck!

11/4/2009 - New Shows

Festival 8 was posted a couple of days ago, and today I've added the following shows (click here to view / hide the list):

I also uploaded a better version of 1994-06-18 for your aural enjoyment.

7/23/2009 - Server Upgrade

I've been out of town for a few weeks, so this update is a little late, but...the server's resources have been upgraded, so Jinzora (and everything else) should be working now with no problems. Hopefully you'll notice the site to be a little more responsive these days, and definitely let me know if you still have any problems streaming or downloading.

6/19/2009 - Some issues with Jinzora

Downloads are incomplete and zip files won't open, streams stop after about 5 minutes...the Jinzora interface is not happy right now. If you are having any problems, please use the MP3ToolBox interface, and i'll try to fix Jinzora ASAP.

6/3/2009 - Summer Tour & New Songs

5/31 and 6/2 are up...I'll try to add each new show as soon as possible, but am dependent on tapers/seeders (and will also be out of town off an on) so please bear with me. Also, be sure to visit the "New Songs" folder in the audio section and check out all of Phish's new tunes!

4/28/2009 - phiSHows is back up!

Sorry for the downtime everyone...after a frustrating couple of months in which I was forced to move the site a few times, I was almost ready to throw in the towel on But the response I received from everyone who emailed or posted online about the site being down made me realize that I had to find a way to continue. Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions for hosting - especially to Marshall, who pointed me towards the solution that I went with.

I also really appreciate the offers of donations toward my hosting fees - I have taken them to heart and now have a web host that supports direct donations, so when you make a donation you can be sure that 100% of it is being used to keep alive. I have been hesitant to accept donations in the past because of Phish's web and audio policies; however, I feel like this is a necessary risk to take, and hope that Phish will understand and not take any action against us. To make a donation, just click the button in the upper left corner of the site - and thanks!

Now go listen to some music and let's all get ready for a great summer tour!

3/10/2009 - Hampton

OK, I made it back into the real world from Hampton, and have put all three shows up. Overall I felt like this was a pretty strong comeback run, but if you want a more in-depth analysis, I would check out Mr. Miner's Phish Thoughts. Also, in case you didn't know, these three shows are available for free right now on, so go get you some.

Update (3/12): The Hampton shows are only free until Friday, March 13th at noon (EST), so go download it before you have to pay!

3/7/2009 - Last Night's Show is Up!

...just wanted to let you know.

2/27/2009 - New Server

This week I cut ties with my old web host and moved the site to a new server - one that shouldn't have the same restrictions as the last one. As you may have noticed, the Jinzora interface has been restored, along with the download feature that lets you grab an entire show as a ZIP file. I believe everything should be back up and running now, but please email me if you have problems with any part of the site. Hopefully this will mark the beginning of a better I guess only time will tell.

2/9/2009 - Monopoly isn't just a board game

Someone is finally standing up to the TicketsNow scam - and while it's not Phish, it is their fellow Bonnaroo '09 headliner Bruce Springsteen.

After Springsteen fans complained about the shady practices, Bruce publicly expressed his own anger and demanded that Ticketmaster no longer forward his fans to TicketsNow - and they complied. They even repented a little. Now, a couple of members of congress are calling for an investigation into the possible conflict of interest that the TM/TN relationship presents.

Now, so far so good. Kudos to Bruce and his crew for doing what they did. However, I still have a few concerns - for example, why couldn't we make this happen? Did we not complain enough, or is it just that no one is listening (either Phish or the press)? Maybe Phish is still just too far under the pop culture radar for it's fans to make the same impact in the mainstream media; however, I haven't seen them try very hard either. We did get an apology for problems with Live Nation sales last weekend, but nothing that directly addresses the TicketsNow scam. Please guys, follow Bruce's lead and take some action.

Also, If the Ticketmaster/TicketsNow link is a possible conflict of interest, what does that say about the impending merger between Ticketmaster and Live Nation? Antitrust laws weren't made just for the likes of Microsoft...let's just hope that promises will be kept.

Upate (2/10/2009): A Canadian lawsuit has been filed against Ticketmaster for scalping...only time will tell if this will bring about any change here in the US.

On a more personal note, I am still in desparate need of a set of Hampton tickets. If there is anyone out there that could spare even one - for any night - please email me at Thanks!

Oh yeah, how about some actual site news? Alert user Brian D. noticed that this site has been missing an historic show for way too long, and uploaded the Halloween '94 show in which Phish played the entire 'White Album' by the Beatles. So thanks Brian, and everyone else enjoy this new addition!

2/3/2009 - Phisharoo

After all the years and false rumors, Phish will finally be playing Bonnaroo this year - 2 nights!

Click here for the full artist lineup.

Update (2/4/2009): Phish has announced they are doing 1 headlining show (2 sets) and 1 late night show.

2/1/2009 - Web host woes, but a lot more shows

If you'll forgive the rhyme, I'll try to explain. Apparantly my web host was doing a periodic audit of my account, and (for the third time in about a year) assumed that my collection of music was infringing copyrights...lots of music, must be infringing, right? Wrong. So, I pointed them to the support ticket that was created the previous time this happened (exactly 3 months ago), which basically pointed them to the original support ticket in which I explained that this is not infringing any copyrights and gave justification based on Phish's web and audio policies. Now last time this happened, it only took them about a half hour to restore my account; however, this time the turnaround was exactly 19 hours. And their policy when anything goes wrong, be it suspected copyright infringement in this case, or scripts using too many resources (as you have experienced with me in the past), seems to be to just disable whatever files are involved and change ownership of the files so that I cannot even access them - which makes it difficult to resolve the issues on my side. I would love to be able to move this site to a self-hosted environment; unfortunately I cannot afford that right now, so I guess we'll just have to suffer through these speed bumps periodically. Though if you are half as annoyed by this policy as I am, and would like to express it in a constructive way, feel free to call them at 877-586-2772.

But enough ranting, now on to the good news: 244 new shows, bringing the total count up over a thousand to 1092!

Thanks again to the guys working on the Phish Google spreadsheet - their efforts have made my job a lot easier for now, and I cannot thank them enough.

1/22/2009 - Petition to Phish

As many of you may already be aware, a large number of tickets for the '09 tour are already appearing on TicketsNow before the general sale has begun - even before I've heard back about my lottery request. I imagine that those posting these tickets are in no way affiliated with Phish, and are contractually obligated to fulfill all of the orders that are placed; however, I am appalled by the inflated cost of these listings, and can't help but wonder if there is anything that we as a community can do to prevent it. So, I have created an online petition that urges the Phish administration to do whatever they can to stop this from happening. A naive dream, maybe, but it's worth a shot. Please sign the petition and do what you can to spread the word about it.

1/17/2009 - RIP Jinzora

After much soul-searching and keyboard-banging, I've decided to take the Jinzora interface off the site completely. It was nice while it lasted, but in the end the thing just caused too many problems with my web host. Maybe one day if I have my own server I'll be able to bring it back, but for now please enjoy the MP3ToolBox interface.

1/8/2009 - Happy New Tour!

Today Phish announced their summer 2009 tour (and Bonnaroo's dates are conveniently still open) - here are the shows:

12/10/2008 - Again with the 'download an entire show' problem...

As you may or may not have noticed, Jinzora was disabled for about the past 12 hours - my web host informed me that it was using too many resources on the server, so they disabled it. Turns out the problem was the feature that allows an entire show to be downloaded at once. Consequently, I've had to disable Jinzora's download function for now. I'll work on either getting it back up or an alternate solution, but for now you can still use the MP3Toolbox interface with DownThemAll (check the FAQ if a question mark just popped up over your head).

10/27/2008 - Hampton Simulcast Petition

If you didn't get the tickets you were looking for - or if you did, but you're not a jerk and you sympathize with the thousands that did not - please sign the following petition, which asks Phish and their management to simulcast the Hampton shows around the country. Hopefully with a little grass-roots effort, we can share the excitement of the comeback with as many of our friends as possible!

Update (10/28/2008): I also encourage anyone who was/is frustrated, either by the Ticketmaster CAPTCHA fiasco (me) or the sanctioned scalping that is TicketsNow (, to speak up - both to TicketBastard and Phish, Inc. What happened to the "Phish Tickets has a zero tolerance for scalping..." policy (

10/18/2008 - I need a miracle (well...technically 6)

I know it's a longshot, but I was unsuccessful this morning on Ticketmaster (damn captcha), and need 2 for each night of the Hampton run. If you have any extras and would like to give them a good home, please consider me - I was planning to have Phish's reunion as my bachelor party (getting married in April), and need these tickets to make it happen. Thanks!

10/4/2008 - Holy Crap, that's a lot of shows

Ok, so I was going to wait to make this group of shows live until I finished tidying them up (adding the city and venue, and updating the file names to reflect the song titles)...BUT, given the sheer magnitude of this group of shows, and the recent developments in Phishtory, I can't in good conscience hold back any more. So, without further ado, I present...

about 390 more shows

I'm not going to list them all here just yet, but they will be the ones that just show the date in the main list. This brings the total count to a whopping 841 shows! I'd like to give big thanks to the guys working on the Phish Google spreadsheet, from which these shows were all harvested. They have, and I'm sure will be again, a great resource for me in my quest to bring all of Phish's shows together in one user-friendly location.

Now go get your Phish on.

10/1/2008 - Phish v3.0?

9/4/2008 - Jinzora

As you probably noticed, I've been making changes to the site layout over the past week. It should now stretch to the size of your browser, which should make the site easier to navigate. I also added Jinzora, a completely new interface for the shows section. This interface has a lot of features that the old one didn't, including playlists, ID3 tagging, ratings, discussions, a search function, and the elusive download all feature. Also, at the request of some users, I have kept the old interface available (MP3ToolBox). Thanks for bearing with me through the recent growing pains, and I hope you enjoy the new changes. Let me know if you have any feedback or find any bugs, and in the meantime I'll be preparing a new batch of shows to add to the site.

10/29/2007 - Spoke too soon...

Sorry to take it away so soon, but apparantly the current 'download all' method is using too many resources and is getting me in trouble with my web host. I'll start working on a new, less resource-intensive method, and I'll try to get it up as soon as possible...

10/23/2007 - Finally!

... the feature everyone has been asking for is ready...wait for it...wait for's the "Download Entire Show" link. You'll find at the bottom of each show's page, next to the "Play Show" link. Hopefully this will make the site alot easier to use...let me know if you have any problems with it, otherwise, gets 'ta downoading.

Just one thing about the download all feature - only click it once. It may take a few seconds before it seems like it's doing anything, but believe me it's working away, so don't go crazy with the clicks - all that will do is overload the server and possible kill the site.

10/16/2007 - Upload Working Again

Been busy and unmotivated this week, but I fixed the upload page, so now I'm not aware of any more problems with the new host. If you see any, let me know - otherwise, I'll get cracking on new features.

10/9/2007 - New Web Host

I moved the site to a new web host that should help me create a better Hopefully now I'll be able to implement the "download entire show" feature that has been on my list for so long. Please bear with me if there are a few glitches at first, but I'll do my best to fix any problems as soon as possible.

Just because I've been working on the new site design, don't think I would forget about what's important - because I wont. Here are 20 more shows for your listening pleasure, with a (not really intentional, but welcomed nonetheless) focus on the glory days of 1994.
