Check out DownThemAll, an addon for FireFox that is perfect for this site. With just a couple of clicks, you can have an entire show downloading - and the download manager allows you to pause and resume downloads.

Sorry, this site currently only has MP3s. It would be nice to have all the shows in a lossless format, but my web server doesn't have that much space - plus, MP3s are much easier to stream over the internet.

FurthurNet is a good program for finding live shows, but the best methods in my opinion are the torrent sites. bt.etree.org is my favorite, but any of the torrent search engines work too.

Streaming: make sure you have WinAmp or another program that can handle the PLS file type. A high speed internet connection is also a must.

Unfortunately, to stay in compliance with Phish's policies, none of the shows on my site can be soundboards...here's the part of their taping policy that forbids SBDs:

"All taping is audio only with microphones only (no soundboard patches)."

Even though I'm not a taper, their web site policy says:

"If a fan site wishes to feature Phish music, the maintainer is responsible for making sure that the nature of usage complies with Phish's Audio Recording Policy."

So unless someone can present a pretty good argument refuting this, I'm going to steer clear of soundboards - otherwise I risk having the site shut down.

In a word, upload. Check out the upload page, and hook me up with any shows that I don't have - or better copies of shows that I do have. I and everyone else here will thank you.

As far as the best performances, that can be pretty subjective. I would recommend posting a topic on the message board or checking out any other Phish websites for recommendations.
